Looks like a red current to me. You will soon know when you taste one!

I would guess Highbush cranberry (Viburnum trilobum) http://plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/cs_viopa2.pdf

Well dear sir, the internet does wonders, but how much of it can you really trust?

Any way I was looking at the leaves and a website stated the following: "The edges of the leaf can be smooth or have rounded bumps, huge lobes or toothed edges. Currants have lobed leaves with toothed edges."

Here is a picture, small but one, to compare for the website.

I think it is a highbush cranberry. I'm not familiar with currants but we have lots of highbush cranberries in manitoba and they look like this.

Try one, and if you are posting again tomorrow, then we'll know it's edible...
: )

I'm joking - don't try one 'til you are certain.
