A tubby suburban dad watching hunting and adventure shows
on TV and wondering could I do that?
This is the chronicle of my adventures as I learn to learn to Forage,
Hunt and Fish for food that has lived as I would wish to myself -
Wild and Free.
It is funny to think how far away from nature they have moved. What do they think of the natural relationship between predator and prey? Should we isolate all of the tigers in the world and feed them bok choi?
When nature is 'as seen on TV' is they know there is problem. For Ingrid Newkirk the unspecified feeling of 'something must be done' is placated by the feeling of having grabbed someone's, anyone's attention. the trouble would seem to be that she never feels she's got enough attention, so the cycle must be repeated with ever new rounds of attention seeking. This is so pronounced that the saving of one puppy just feels like failing ALL puppies - so she's given up trying, better to put them down and put her efforts into more attention seeking.
The crime is that with the budget she commands she could do a hell of a lot of good. There's just so little drama in the long slog that it would take to change the west's farming practices, it wouldn't feed the need for attention she feels. Shame.
I had to pause that as my pan was getting hot, ommellette with salami and mushrooms made from my fresh free range chickens, Hmmm. I was a tad dissapointed though, no porno!
BB Hmm 'I've discovered a meal between breakfast and brunch'. Are you working from home at the moment? Re porno: Sorry to disappoint old chap - more attention grabbing headlines on the way.

the only thing good about PETA is the half naked women they use in their ads.

I make you right, which is a shame because there are an awful lot of industrialised framing practices that are awful, but Ingrid is all about Ingrid.
Shameful really

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, or maybe cry laughing. Yes, that is what I choose: cry laughing. That was very humorous truth.
Thanks for sharing it!

that was excellent... it's great that we barely even need to pick on them, they just make it too easy.
