A tubby suburban dad watching hunting and adventure shows
on TV and wondering could I do that?
This is the chronicle of my adventures as I learn to learn to Forage,
Hunt and Fish for food that has lived as I would wish to myself -
Wild and Free.
We used to raise our own beef in California. (God, I hate living in the city.) Our steers lived for several years (they don't have to be babies) without much aggravation in their lives, always in a small herd to provide their lives with a social context, and then died with their heads in buckets of grain with no idea of their own mortality. A short but happy life, that doesn't sound so bad now, does it?
