I Want One - A Not So Occasional Series Pt6

The season approaches and a Suburban Bushwackers thoughts turn to; Trout, buying stuff he don't need, and milled aluminum for milled aluminum's sake.

Scholars have long known that fishing eventually turns men into philosophers.
Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to buy decent tackle on a philosopher's salary.

That's, oh so nice.
One of these days, when the shop is all set up again, I might try my hand at something like that.

Maybe...

Isn't it just. There's a beguiling simplicity to the design that's just so oooooh.

Once again if you've got the space bigger mills are way cheap, especially at the moment, and commodity prices are low enough to make the stock.........

It'd make a lovely started project before a shotgun from the ground up, (yeah right)

I met a machinist recently who described a mauser 98 action as "a nice trade piece, for an apprentice" !! How much do i wish I'd been that apprentice.

Resist the temptation, you don't really need it and the glare from that shiney trinket will scare the trout away. Are there any trout in Leeds anymore ?

Jeremiah Quinn swears there are trout in Leeds he even has a page on his site about his home river just outside Leeds

His site is linked off the fishing section of my blog roll, if you haven't already defiantly put some time aside for a good read this weekend, top chap, hilarious turn of phrase in print and on the river bank.
