Jammyness? Do You Measure Up?

Here's one for the Catch-and-Release crowd, I saw it on wired.com and I thought we'd make it the subject of a little competition. My mum (mom) has just delivered a shipment of her kick-ass jam (jelly) and I'll ship a jars worth of it to the reader who sends in the best use for a tattooed tape measure. Here's what its owner/wearer (Dave Selden) uses it for

"As a woodworker-graphic designer, I use a tape measure or ruler almost every day. Now I have one always within arm's reach. I use it for my work, but also my play. I measured some trout for length with it on a fishing trip to Mount Hood this weekend."

I look forward to hearing from you

Hmmmm, my pal tells me a tape measure going up his arm from his fist would have been interesting while dating a past girlfriend - I did not ask him to elaborate!

My entry in the competition would have to do with the amount of DIY my wife has me doing at the moment in preparation for our baby - I did not realise that baby's require new curtain rails in lounges and new laminate in studys.

So sadly at the moment it would be put to use for DIY.

Oh, and to measure the enormous toothy gape of fly rod caught Pike when I have the chance :-)

Ha Ha you haven't heard the start of it yet!! Good job you've taken the percaution of buying your rod collection before the baby!

A great entry, will low shipping costs, I'm tempted but lets see a few more entries before i pick a winner.
Cheers

That is funny . . . the ultimate in geekness!

Ah yes. This would be obvious to any tracker. I'd have it tatooed on my feet. I'm always fumbling about for a tape measure to measure tracks. No problem. Just whip off the old boots and socks and voila!

yeah this is really funny.

SBW,

I just don't know about this...

Sorry I haven't been around much the last six months, but real world issues have kept me from having much leisure time. I'll probably miss this fall's outdoor season too.

Looking forward to having a little bit more time in the near future.

Good to hear from you again, but that's not a proper competition entry. It's not that you don't deserve jam, it's just that you don't deserve jam for that comment!

The ruler tattoo is awesome! That is dedication to fishing!

Maybe it is used to measure his ever rising level of regret for getting a ruler tattoo on his freakin arm. lol
