'Appy Crimbo From Old London Town

Well guys what a years it's been! New direction with my work, learning to be a divorced suburban dad, and trying to work my way out of poverty during a recession. None of it's been easy.

But this blog has gone from strength to strength, more readers, more comments and more new commenters joining the conversation. It's really helped to keep me going during the hard times. Thank you all for reading, linking, commenting, and being optimistic enough about the quality of posts to read again! I cant tell you how much i get from the whole process.

So as the sun starts to get a little nearer again, all that remains is to deck the halls with gaudy crap, re watch the same old nonsense on TV, stuff our faces, endure the kids sugar and greed fueled mania, and, in amongst the chaos and consumerism, quietly take a private moment to think of those who, for what ever reason, wont be with us.

Hope you get what you want, and those around you show at least some appreciation of all you do for them.
Your pal
SBW

Have a great Christmas and enjoy the kids - sugar & greed regardless!

God bless.

Have a good one.
I guess you're working on the 25th?

Thanks chap - oddly enough, the 25th is pretty free here because the people want to lie in and get down to it on the day! Christmas Eve is the big one. Different in England and Canada, where the morning Mass loomed larger.

Anyway - I drive down to Dallas to be with Ma LSP & assoc. sisters. It'll be fun.

Happy happy and all that, SBW! Working through the difficulties and all that's entailed makes the holidays and good times that much sweeter, no?

Keep at it, and I hope to catch up one day when you come stateside. There's a bunch of us who'll be happy to drink your health, even if it endangers our own!

Hi there buddy, thanks for your comment, its nice to see that you check out my writings although my english aint flawless and my stuff is what is,but im getting better some day :).

Ive noticed the same thing about this blogging, its good yto see that someone is intrested about my life and thoughts&opinions.Although its always far beter to talk your s--t face to face, its nice to this thing with like-minded people from a far, overseas.

Oh i was going to throw a short reply on your comment too.I really tried to say that you really dont have to live in a cave and be all the way hardcore earth-saver.No,you just should change lifestyle, just a bit from here and there,it all helps a little. No matter whether its that you start to use rechargeable batteries in your gadgets,or if you choose to change to economic bulbs in your house, its all good and for greater, common good.

And after all this,i want to wish you very good christmas and happy new year as well, man.

booze & crimbo,

Oh you can say that again, when i got back into construction I knew i was taking a risk, but boy-o-boy has the stress been hard to cope with!

It's enough to drive a chap to drink, but at least when i finally get back stateside i'll have good company to drink with!

Merry merry

Your english is a lot better than my Finnish!

If you keep writing them, I'll keep reading them.

We can change the world, we'll just have to do it one person at a time.

A very 'appy crimbo to you and yours too.

Plenty of stuff planned for the coming year, and maybe even enough work to finance it!

Happy new year
