The Northern Monkey and I tried them in a diner (probably 'the' diner) in Lusk Wyoming - and boy did they suck! In defence of the diner everything else I ate there on both my visits was excellent. If you're passing I particularly recommend the corned beef hash.
SBWThe Suburban Bushwackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09372690405902840131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-56720024724534648832008-07-11T22:07:00.000+01:002008-07-11T22:07:00.000+01:00SBW, sounds like you're ready to step up to rural ...SBW, sounds like you're ready to step up to rural America's highest biscuit achievement: the Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast. Yessiree Bob! A couple hot-out-of-the-oven biscuits smothered in sausage gravy with a couple eggs and hashbrowns on the side. That'll give you the bone-sticking energy you need for a day of hunting elk!Langdon Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13824455892396013221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-60947548528513101902008-07-05T12:35:00.000+01:002008-07-05T12:35:00.000+01:00GWHThe other difference is the size of our eggs! As with all generalisations there is a counter example, and this time its eggs, you guy have such little eggs. They look better on the plate but it can make the direct translation of recipe books a little - well eggy!
Cheers
SBWThe Suburban Bushwackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09372690405902840131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-10715602717098718262008-07-03T19:33:00.000+01:002008-07-03T19:33:00.000+01:00Thanks so much for the mention. It always amazes me how close the British and the Americans really are. After more than two centuries, we are really still two related peoples separated only by a common language :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-53123295157827919972008-07-03T17:13:00.000+01:002008-07-03T17:13:00.000+01:00Ah, yes - the biscuit. So versatile, too...eat it as is, or put butter and honey on it, or pour a bunch of gravy over it...seriously, I'm getting very hungry over here.Tom Sorensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05376762648007983014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-73563087991124032552008-07-03T14:21:00.000+01:002008-07-03T14:21:00.000+01:00I love biscuits. I can still remember them though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
