The 260 Remington is pretty much the old wildcat 6.5-08, a 308 necked down to the .264 bullet. That would put it right between the 6.5-55 and the 243.

I've got a Swedish Mauser 95 in 6.5-55 and if I ever get around to it, I'll finish that rifle, along with the '98 I've been talking about converting to a 416 Taylor. You never know when a big dugga boy might make an appearance! That oughta make for a full length article...

Regards,
Albert A Rasch
The Rasch Outdoor ChroniclesAlbert A Raschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11431765456546701021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-46749132141568368532008-12-12T11:54:00.000+00:002008-12-12T11:54:00.000+00:00Bushman It's the Tikka's trigger that really impre...Bushman
It's the Tikka's trigger that really impressed me; when the travel is that short and the break that clean, the bullet goes where you were pointing the barrel.

Obsidian Rabbit
Thanks.I was lucky.
SBWThe Suburban Bushwackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09372690405902840131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-39671020674290985562008-12-12T01:24:00.000+00:002008-12-12T01:24:00.000+00:00Nice shooting SBW!Did you sight in the .243 first ...Nice shooting SBW!
Did you sight in the .243 first or you lucky enough to get a scope that 'worked' for you?
It seems every time I take someone along to the range for the first time they end up with a club rifle that has the scope completely "un-sighted". They'll get groupings, but on the wrong part of the target.BlackRabbithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16544080157942475000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825273392145948457.post-23986157278501294792008-12-11T14:41:00.000+00:002008-12-11T14:41:00.000+00:00I really like them Tikkas.
