I found this one, where 'someone' had burped it up while sitting on a hay bale scanning the field for the next victim. Which animal left it behind? Answers in the comments section please.

A tubby suburban dad watching hunting and adventure shows on TV and wondering could I do that? This is the chronicle of my adventures as I learn to learn to Forage, Hunt and Fish for food that has lived as I would wish to myself - Wild and Free.

Please feel free to leave comments. I really enjoy hearing what readers think. The rules are the same as round my dinner table:
You're welcome to disagree, life would be way too boring if we all agreed with each other and we'd never learn anything.
I like to think that we're all grown up enough to argue every last point, right down to the bone, without bearing a grudge afterwards.
Come on in the waters lovely

ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to comment, welcome to the campfire
My initial thoughts were an osprey as the pellet only contained very gritty particles, whereas I associate Owl pellets with yer actual chunks of bone. Total novice at this so i'd appreciate any further opinion

Are you absolutely sure its a pellet and not some poo? Ospreys don't hawk up pellets. What does down goes all the way thru. IIRC

ReplyDeleteEvery day's a school day, my guess at an Osprey was because there were a few of them in the area
