A tubby suburban dad watching hunting and adventure shows on TV and wondering could I do that? This is the chronicle of my adventures as I learn to learn to Forage, Hunt and Fish for food that has lived as I would wish to myself - Wild and Free.

Please feel free to leave comments. I really enjoy hearing what readers think. The rules are the same as round my dinner table:
You're welcome to disagree, life would be way too boring if we all agreed with each other and we'd never learn anything.
I like to think that we're all grown up enough to argue every last point, right down to the bone, without bearing a grudge afterwards.
Come on in the waters lovely

I'd say something clever here, alas I'm too busy dry heaving.....

ReplyDeletegreat blog mate, keep it up, and thatnks for commenting. Hope to hear a lot more from you.

God Almighty, you were on my family safe blog list. My eleven year old just downloaded this and showed it to me. I know Grylis is a wanker but my son, who is young and still has a lot to learn still rates him, they only show shit on our satellite TV channels.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why he likes reading your blog; a sensible appraisal of everything boys love: the outdoors, guns, knives etc. If he won't read a book, at least he will read your blog so you are instrumental in teaching the boy English.
I am not a saint so he is familiar with the F word but how the Fuck do I explain to him that his hero does not shove a stick up his arse to prevent ants gnawing at his sphincter and how the hell do you expect me to satisfy Dominic's youthful curiosity as to the nutrition Grylis derived pre packaged in a 'plastic bag' from under a tree?
You do not have to allow this comment to appear on your blog. Knowing you have read it is enough for me. You have a miles bigger audience than me so you are obviously doing something right.
You have every right to post whatever you like but if you intend to post more stuff like this, then let me know so I can delink you off my blog so Dominic cannot easily read it anymore.
SBW,
ReplyDeleteRemind me to be thankful I'm in Afghanistan...

SBW, my reply ended up a tadge longer than I expected so I have posted it on my blog.
ReplyDeletePremier League referee Mark Clattenburg is so passionate about his post-football career as a Bear Grylls impersonator that he had a hair transplant just to maintain the resemblance.
