Cool story, and it jibes with my father's dealings with the Amish community in NW Montana.
ReplyDeleteHe's a retired welder, lives in Libby, Montana. For a number of years he worked with an Amish community in Libby that builds and sells custom log homes.
My dad did a lot of their welding, metal fab, mechanical work etc. and a lot of the stories he told me about dealing with the Amish sound remarkably similar to the anecdotes in the story.
Pragmatic bunch, those Amish.
